I have really been wanting to do the whole blogging thing, and it has taken me forever to do it. I started this thing in January, and I am now just getting to it. So, now that I am the worlds #1 procrastinator, I am going to try to keep up with the whole "blogging world." Thanks for being patient, though.
I wanted to start out by getting everyone up to speed on our past (a super condensed version). So, here is our life together:

We spent our first year and a half of marriage in Provo, UT finishing up at Brigham Young University. We had a ton of fun getting to know each other better while living in the "oh so lovely" apartments in Provo. Even though our apartments weren't the best, we still have so many fun memories. One of the many memories we have is night repelling in Rock Canyon (Thanks Johny)!!!
Our first year anniversary came up way too fast. The whole first year absolutely flew by. For our anniversary, Kyle suprised me by taking me up to McCall, Idaho to go snowboarding. It was the cutest little resort town in Idaho, and the snowboarding was great. We had such a blast in McCall. (If any of you ever find yourself there, we recommend that you go eat at The Pancake House. It is wonderful!)
Then came graduation - YEAH!!!

After we both graduated from BYU, we packed up and headed off to the big state of California. We are now living in the Bay Area, just south of San Francisco, and we are LOVING it.
So, now that I caught you all up to speed about our first year and a 1/2 of marriage in Provo, here is a recap of the last year of our life in California. Pictures tell the best stories, so here they are:
For our 2 year anniversary, we went and stayed at Half Moon Bay near San Francisco. This is where they hold the Mavericks Surf Contest. It's hard to see, but if you look close enough, you can see where the big waves are just behind the big rock where the boats are (I couldn't get a good picture of the waves with my camera...bummer). We were so excited that we were spending our anniversary watching the Big Wave Surf Contest. (It sure was hard to see though. This was the closest you could get to watch the surfers.)
We go to San Francisco when we can. We love to go there and see the city, and see all the crazy people on the streets. There is just so much to see in SF!
Mel's parents came to visit. We went to see the Redwoods: I decided to climb up two trees:
We also went to Ano Nuevo State Park, where you can walk right up to Elephant Seals. There were so many seals there. It was such a neat experience. We were able to walk right up to them. It was interesting, though, because it was mating season...

We went to a San Francisco Giants Baseball Game:
Since we are in California, you know we go to the beach a lot. We absolutely love going to the beach. We go about every other week, if not more (in the summer). We found this beach that no one ever goes to because you have to hike down a muddy mountain side. But, when we get down to it, we always have the beach to ourselves. It is so beautiful. We named it "Sager Beach." This is a beautiful sunset overlooking "Sager Beach."

We went back to Wyoming in April 2008 for Val's graduation! Congrats Val!!! Good Luck in college.
Kyle's parents also came out for a visit. We also took them to see the elephant seals. Although it wasn't mating season, we were able to see all the male elephant seals. Look at their big noses...

This is a little recap of our first months in California. This doesn't even begin to touch all the things we have done while here in California. But, I hope this gives you a little idea of what we have done. We are certainly loving life out here in California!!!
