Some recent happenings

Here are some recent - or not so recent - happenings of our lives:

******
When we went to Mexico in January, we went Zip Lining over a huge canyon. We just got the pictures back. Here we are riding tandem...

******
We went to the hottest "White Trash" birthday party ever thrown! Here we are dressed in our finest trash of the season:

During the party, there was a real fish eye spitting contest. Kyle spit the furthest, so he won a can of Chef Boyardee. Woo Hee!!!

Chocolate Mousse Birthday Cake.  This is classic...

KJ - Happy Birthday! Thanks for a great party. (And, thanks for sharing the pics with us.) We had a great time!

******
Also, because we live in the Bay Area, we have been trying to take in as much as we can. So, we thought we would go to the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum and Planetarium in San Jose. We only had so much time, so we thought we would check out the Planetarium presentation and then come back to the Museum another time. All I can say is... I would much rather have looked at the museum. The Planetarium has so much potential... but it did not come through. Hopefully the Museum will be a better than the Planetarium. Here are some pics of the outside of the Planetarium and Museum:

The Land of Potatoes

Last weekend, we were able to go to Idaho to attend Mikey's wedding!  Kyle and Mikey go way back. They were born in the same hospital room two days apart, and they have been great buddies ever since. They share some hilarious stories of growing up together. Mikey was married in the Twin Falls Temple, and there was no way we were going to miss his big day. It was great to meet his bride and to see how happy they are together!

Mikey is a TALL guy... he was slouching, and Kyle was standing on his tippy toes...
Congratulations Mikey!!!

Me and Kyle in front of the Twin Falls Temple.

After the wedding, we headed over to Shoshone Falls just outside off Twin Falls.

While we were in Boise, Kyle decided to prune his dad's trees. It was weird to see him up in the trees without all his climbing gear...

One of the days we were there, Rick, Kyle's brother, and his kids came over to play Rock Band. I love this pic of Rick rocking out.

While we were gone, Howie's dog-sitter took this picture of him basking in the sun. He is our mini "Dumbo."

Easter Weekend

Easter started out with a fun little activity with the Barnards. We decided to let the child come out in each of us, and we died a bunch of Easter Eggs. It was great fun. Here are the boys:

Us, looking oh so lovely...  or not...

The Barnards and their sweet eggs!

Then, on Easter Sunday, Kyle and I decided to carry on a Stevens' family tradition of making Lamb Stew! This was the first year I attempted to make it, and it turned out to be very delicious.

Overall, we had a great Easter Weekend.

HAPPY EASTER!

I have some good news...I FOUND MY CAMERA. Hooray! The little bugger was hiding in one of my suitcases. I am so relieved that we found it. Now I can get back to blogging...

Here are some pictures that were taken before I lost my camera.

This is a picture of Howie. He was sitting on my lap... all curled up in a blanket.

And then here is a picture of him sleeping in the sun...and he LOVES the sun. Even if there is only an inch of sunlight coming through the windows, he will find it and lay there until it completely disappears.
CAN YOU TELL HE LOVES TO BE WARM?...
What a life!

Then, I found this picture of Kyle wearing one of my old choir T-shirts from high school. I thought it was pretty funny that Kyle was wearing a "choir shirt." He is such a stud...wearing a girl's choir shirt and all...

I hope you all have a great Easter weekend.
