Wedding: The fusing together of two metals with a hot torch.

Last weekend, my Grandpa got married near Vallejo, CA. My fam came up to celebrate his big day. Here is the lovely couple: Nile and Liz.

I did Liz's hair, so I had to show it off:

This is Will, my new "uncle," with his well endowed girlfriend. (If she sees this, she should not be offended... she obviously got them for people to see...)

Random Summer Update...

OK, we have completely fallen off the face of the Earth in the blogging world. But, here are a few updates from the summer.

Lots of Dutch Oven Cooking and Grilling: Here is Kyle looking lovely and cooking lovely!

The results of one his lovely cooking: Steak topped with sauteed mushrooms and onions, asparagus, and baked potato. Sometimes you just have to take a picture of a good meal.

Our first attempt at Dutch Oven Pizza. It looked beautiful, but the bottom was a little burnt. We have perfected it now!

Our friends got free tickets to a Giants Game. We had club seating, which included our own personal water spritzer/server. It was SO hot that day.

We love Charlie Brown (only because of Arrested Development). So Kyle decided to be the sad Charlie Brown.

My good friend, Kara, was about to have a baby (she's had it by now), so we decided to go get pedicures. When she showed up, we were wearing the same thing. We were twinners for the day:

Football season has started. In honor of BYU, we painted one of my mannequin heads from school. Isn't it great?! It will be sitting on top of my TV until Halloween is over.

This is just some of the things we have been up to this summer. Lots of good food, and not much else. Hopefully I will do a better job at staying up-to-date on our blog...

STINK FOR WEEKS

JULY, 2009

GILROY, CA - Garlic capital of the world (did you know such a thing existed???) We ventured into garlic ice-cream land just to say that we did. Our take is that you could put ketchup in ice cream and it would probably have the same effect.

Mel before her first bite of garlic ice cream. We decided it tastes like you just shoved some garlic in your mouth and then ate a bit of ice cream. I'm not sure what we were expecting...

Afraid to go to church the next day, we kept our distance from anyone scent sensitive. Yes, we smelled that bad. The good news is that we didn't have to season any food for the following week because of the lingering garlic effect.
